Police car

Children were put in the driving seat by West Yorkshire police officers during their visit to Bright Horizons Leeds Day Nursery & Preschool.

Trying on a policeman's helmet and flashing the blue light were among some of the fun moments besides some serious lessons, such as on road safety.

'The nursery want the children to see inspirational real life people in occupations they could aspire to do when they are big,' explained the Nursery Manager, Fiona Stewart.

'The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the officers role, and of course they loved being able to get behind the wheel of the police car and to wear the police hat.'
