Nursery World's trip to India now booking

Wednesday, March 9, 2016

Travel with Nursery World to see India's diverse and fascinating early education and childcare system.

This study tour, in association with Master Travel, starts in Mumbai, taking in Bangalore, Mysore and Calicut on the way to Kochi, visiting a representative selection of nurseries, pre-schools and kindergartens along with major sights and places of interest.

India's pre-school services range from the Anganwadis and Balwadis run by government and NGOs for deprived communities to private nursery franchises growing their businesses across the country. Our tour will show you examples of each, including a visit to Podar Jumbo Kids, run by Swati Popat Vats, who is president of the Early Childhood Association in India and has been working to introduce regulation to the pre-school sector.

Cultural excursions include UNESCO World Heritage site the Elephanta Caves, Mumbai city, temples, spice and flower markets and the Nagarhole National Park.

The tour will be an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience and a unique opportunity to see the fast-changing early years world in India.

The trip runs from 15-25 October 2016 and will be led by Liz Roberts, Editor of Nursery World.
