The big picture: Like a lamb

Fennies' new nursery in Epsom, Surrey, welcomed some unusual visitors in celebration of St Patrick's Day.

Farm workers brought in lambs for the children to meet and greet. The children prepared for the event by making cotton wool pictures and talking about what cotton wool
feels like.

Each of them had a cuddle with the young lambs and helped give them a bottle. The children commented that the lambs 'feel as soft as a blanket'.

Fennies Nurseries has had lots to celebrate recently. It won the Mayor's Fund for London's Apprenticeship Employer of the Year award last month, beating several large national companies, and saw the opening of three new nurseries in five months in Epsom, Horley and Bromley to bring its number of settings to eight.
