Little Manor Day Nursery is one of six settings now owned by Just Childcare

The nursery group recently took over Little Manor Day Nursery in Runcorn, Cheshire, which is a 56-place setting.

The acquisition brings the total number of childcare places operated by Just Childcare to 402.

The nursery group’s other settings, which are all rated good by Ofsted, are Little Acorns  Atherton, Little People Piccadilly and Best Friends Worsley, all in Manchester, and Little People Burnley and Little People Habergham, both in Lancashire.

Owners Jacqueline and David Johnson are also planning further expansion, with the acquisition of another setting towards the end of the year, and the opening of a new nursery in a converted Victorian house in Glossop, Derbyshire, in January 2015.

The nursery in Glossop will provide care for 54 children. It will also be used to deliver training to the group’s staff.

Jacqueline Johnson said, ‘Little Manor Day Nursery is in a great location. It has nice grounds and a nature garden. We are currently in the process of improving the setting and buying new equipment.’

She added, ‘Our aim is to continue to expand the group across the north west of England over the next few years.’

Just Childcare was established in 2004.The group's owners have over 65 years combined experience within childcare and education.
