Early years providers across the country will be taking part in more Ofsted Big Conversation meetings in the New Year.

Around half of the regions have already held ‘scoping meetings’ with their Ofsted regional director.

Dr Jo Verrill, director of research and information provider CEEDA, is keen to raise awareness about the next North East regional meeting. She told Nursery World, ‘We will be holding a second open meeting to inform the agenda for our first steering group meeting with Ofsted in February.’

The open meeting takes place on 14 January at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, County Durham from 2-4pm.

The meeting is for everyone involved in early education and childcare in the North East of England and will help set the agenda for the first steering group meeting with Ofsted on 31 January.

The steering group meeting will be with Nick Hudson, the incoming national Ofsted director for early years, who is currently the regional director for the North East, Yorkshire and Humber.
