Totempole workshops and resources
Practitioners can access training and purchase resources under one roof at Totempole in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
Since September the centre, with funding from the local authority, has been offering a range of programmes and workshops, delivered by early years consultant Mary Barlow. She says, 'The centre includes a demonstration nursery with a very homely feel, which really helps to support the training. In addition to Beginning with Babies workshops, we offer a one-day programme for working with toddlers called Fun on the Floor, and courses on attachment, management, leadership and peer and mentoring support.'
Sensory resources are available on site in the Market Place area and practitioners can explore a treasure basket 'pick and mix'. The centre's flexible spaces are available for providers' own training and meetings. www.thetotempole.co.uk
