I work in a pre-school in a village hall. We have a fairly secure car park we use for outdoor play. We have lots of barriers to overcome as our landlord doesn't let us keep anything outside and it is just a concrete car park. However, as long as the children are outside and we haul out water, compost, buckets and spades etc, the learning is fantastic. I can honestly say it has revolutionised our setting and I would urge anyone to access the outside as much as possible. Some of our best sessions are on rainy days. The concentration...
