While working in many nurseries and pre-schools, I have been shocked by the attitude and laziness of the practitioners.

Granted, some are unable to access outdoor space and for some it is not an option, though within the EYFS practitioners must ensure children have time outdoors. But for many, they don't give children outdoor activities. The practice I observe is the use of just bikes and trikes. Practitioners view this as a break for them too; rarely is there interaction between practitioner and child, except for telling off or because someone has hurt themselves.
