Balls backs EYFS as it makes the statute books

Ensuring that childminders have the skills in place to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) continues to be a challenge, Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, said as the framework became statutory on Monday.
