Families offer a slice of their life

Over a third of parents spend at least an hour a day shouting and half of families admit to arguing every day, according to new research by Channel 4.
The television channel commissioned a survey of 1,000 adults and 500 teenagers for an observational documentary series, 'The Family', which aims to present a portrait of modern British family life. The survey found that 39 per cent of parents think they are doing a better job of raising their children than their parents did, while 35 per cent said they would log on to their child's social networking profile to check up on them.
