Summit will bring together pledges

21 August 2008, 12:00am

The london child Poverty Summit in October will aim to bring together all those who have signed the London Child Poverty Pledge (news, 24 July).

Mayor Boris Johnson will sign the pledge on behalf of the Greater London Authority and delegates will discuss further action. The Pledge requires organisations to commit to a set of actions to improve the services they provide for disadvantaged families, and also to assess whether their employment practices are family-friendly.
