Animals and allotments make the nursery a farm

A nursery celebrated the opening of its very own four-acre farm last Sunday with a fun day and a visit from the television presenter John Craven.

Rainbow nursery in Lyne, Surrey, now boasts a collection of donkeys, goats, sheep, guinea pigs and rabbits as well as an aviary full of birds. Most of the animals were donated to the nursery, including the goats, which were once used by the Ministry of Defence to test the effects of decompression sickness resulting from time spent underwater in submarines.
