Passers-by might have to look twice at a tableaux of nine young children climbing over a nursery wall at Gorseway nursery school in Hayling Island, Hampshire.
It won the nursery the Best in Show award at the local Scarecrow Festival. The children's bright colour and attention to detail made their entry stand out from more than the 250 scarecrow figures that were entered into the competition.
Residents of Hayling Island have been surprised by scarecrows popping up in the most unlikely of places.
