Children cultivate strawberries

Emily from Plymbridge Nursery and Children's Centre in Estover, Plymouth, cultivates the strawberry patch during National Allotment Week (11-17 August).
The children have been growing their own fruit and veg since 2007. Jane Hamlyn, deputy centre leader said, 'The children develop skills such as caring and tending to the plants as well as learning how to use the appropriate tools.'
