All is calm in the nursery

Children at an Essex nursery are learning how to meditate as part of a new project to see if it helps them to relax and feel calmer.
Ravi Bhanot, co-owner of Clayhall Nursery in Ilford, said he hopes to extend the scheme to other local nurseries, running subsidised training sessions for practitioners. The group of three- and four-year-olds have been meditating for a few minutes each day after lunch for the past week. Mr Bhanot is director of the Ayurveda Institute of Europe.
