People and Places - Fun for childminders

A visit from the fire brigade was the highlight of the day for Amy Fraser and Ben Wheatley (pictured) when more than 200 childminders in Southend, Essex, and their families celebrated National Childminding Week and the National Year of Reading with a singalong and story rhyme session in the Chalkwell Park last week. Chair of Southend Childminding Association Joanne Wheatley said, 'Bookstart from Southend library encouraged the children to do actions to songs like 'Incy Wincy Spider'.
