National Childminding Week ties in with National Year of Reading

This year's National Childminding Week from 14 to 21 June has as its theme 'reading', to tie in with the National Year of Reading.
Childminders and nannies will be encouraged to celebrate reading and the role they play in their charges' language, literacy and creativity development. The National Childminding Association is offering its 46,000 members ideas for sharing The Gruffalo, free bookmarks for children to decorate and use, and special downloadable resources to help children write their own stories at www.ncma.org.uk.
