Beverley Hughes and schools minister Jim Knight were among MPs who met a group of 36 parents last week to discuss the Children's Plan published in December.
The discussion was a forerunner to the Parents' Panel, an initiative starting this autumn where Government officials will meet with parents four times a year to share views on key issues. Parents' Panel members will receive training and be asked to sound out local opinions.
