New children's centres are ready to go

Children's centres in Hampshire are being built in a day and completed in weeks using the latest high-speed building methods.

Brazier Construction, part of the Kier Group, is building 16 children's centres in an £8m project with Hampshire County Council. The first is due to open at Pennington Primary School in Lymington this month. Fifteen of the centres will be on school sites. The factory-made, steel-framed units are faster to install than using traditional building methods, and the construction sites are thought to be safer because the 16m x 4m units can be delivered complete to the location, with plumbing and electricity ready to be...
