Ministers get to grips with child poverty

Ministers set out priorities with key London agencies at the first meeting of the London Child Poverty Ministerial Working Group last week.

Children's minister Beverley Hughes and Work and Pensions minister Stephen Timms met with the group, which was formed last month to try to increase employment for parents in the capital (News, 10 April). It is made up of MPs, local authorities, the Mayor's office, employers and experts from the voluntary sector.
