Splashing at the bear hunt

Nursery World, 8 May 2008

Children from Granby House Nursery in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, make a splash in nearby Langold Woods while going on the proverbial bear hunt with staff.

The bear hunt is one of many local walks the nursery does each week. Children don wellies and waterproofs for wet weather. Deputy manager Katie Waring said, 'Each child used their own individuality to explore the woods in different ways, which links to Knowledge and Understanding of the World in the EYFS curriculum.'
