New guidance to be given on EYFS and inspections

A new document clarifying aspects of the statutory guidance and the welfare requirements in the EYFS will be available on the DCSF website at the end of this month, national director for early years at National Strategies, Ruth Pimentel, announced last week.
Speaking in London at Nursery World's second sell-out EYFS conference, Ms Pimentel also alerted delegates to new guidance designed to help them in tracking children's progress under the EYFS. Progress from the Start will be published in June and will be disseminated through local authorities.
