In our news story 'Scrapping of tax credits proposed' (24 April), we quoted directly from the Policy Exchange report a phrase including 'parents who prefer informal care (grandparents, childminders)'.
Although this was as printed in the report, we should have made it clear that childminders are, of course, registered, formal provision. Policy Exchange has assured us this was an editing error on their part and not the intended choice of words.
