S4C, the Welsh TV channel, and a Welsh TV production company are joining forces with an Arabic channel to produce a children's series about a singing sheep, reported the BBC. 'Baaas' will be broadcast in Welsh this autumn and in Arabic in early 2009, when Al Jazeera launches its own children's channel. The pre-school show features a family of all-singing, all-dancing and multi-racial sheep.

'The Simpsons' has been dropped from morning television in Venezuela after being deemed unsuitable for children - and then replaced by 'Baywatch', said the Daily Mail. The popular cartoon was branded 'inappropriate' and pulled by the country's television authorities. Caracas...
