Is everyone ready for the Early Years Foundation Stage? Well, up to a point, as our survey of attitudes to the EYFS and Early Years Professionals carried out by The Consortium shows (see News, page 4).
More than two-thirds of respondents believed the EYFS would improve quality, and most had received some training on the new framework. However, the survey uncovers some real uncertainties about the EYP programme and an unwillingness to engage with it, which could mean problems with achieving the target of an EYP leading practice in every daycare setting.
