Nursery undaunted as roof blown off

Children have returned to a Hampshire nursery whose roof was blown off amid hailstones and gale-force winds.

Fierce storms on 10 March caused the roof to fall in on Fawley Independent Day Nursery in Holbury, Southampton, while staff and children were inside. The toddler room's roof buckled and staff immediately led the 35 children out of the building. Nursery manager Lisa Wood said, 'It was very stormy that day. There was thunder and lightening and even hailstones. At 12.50 on Monday we heard an almighty bang. The roof had been lifted up by the wind and then fell into the toddler room. 'At the same time...
