Ready-made meals rejected

Proposals to serve ready-made meals in six Lancashire children's centres to 'secure best value' have been rejected by the council's executive board.

An unnamed spokesman from Bolton City Council told the local Bolton News last week that a catering company would be providing frozen nursery meals in children's centres from April. This has since been denied by the council, who claim the proposals were only part of a consultation.
