Newbury Park Primary School have "language of the month' programme

Nursery World, 20 March 2008

Pupils at Newbury Park Primary School in Redbridge, east London, teach their classmates phrases in Sanskrit and Nepali as part of their 'language of the month' programme. Children at the school speak more than 40 languages between them, including Cantonese, Polish and Dari, an Afghan form of the Persian language. Each month a different child is filmed speaking their native language so that they can share lessons via video with every class in the 850-pupil school.
