A woman who is just 28 inches tall has successfully given birth to an 18-inch baby who will grow to an average height, despite doctors' warnings that she could die, reported The Sun.

Stacey Herald, age 33, who already has a 16-month-old child, has a genetic disorder called Osteogenesis imperfecta, which causes brittle, fragile bones, underdeveloped lungs and stunted growth. During the pregnancy Stacey added 20lb to her normal weight of 52lb. A teachers' union has called for homework to be abolished for primary school children, said the BBC News website.
