Literature: New children's book illustrators on display

The search for the best new illustrators of children's picture books is underway with the Booktrust's Big Picture campaign.

The campaign aims to inspire a love of picture books and introduce a new generation of illustrators and writers. Artists include Polly Dunbar, Emily Gravett, Mini Grey and Laura Hambleton, whose work featured in Nursery World's nursery rhyme poster series and stories from around the world. The ten Best New Illustrators will be named at the Children's Book Fair in Bologna in March. Judges include author and illustrator Anthony Browne, journalist Nicolette Jones, author Malorie Blackman and Antonia Byatt, director of literature strategy at Arts Council England....
