Child behaviour: Children are 'multi-tasking' media at home

A quarter of five- to eight-year-olds have their own computer and more than two in three are regular internet users, according to new research.

An annual monitor report by research agency Childwise has found that today's children are growing up 'multi-tasking', often eating, sleeping or using the internet at the same time as watching television. Researchers examined the media habits of 1,147 UK children aged five to 16 by conducting face-to-face interviews via schools.
