Awards: Search is on for student of the year

Nominations are being sought for the Heinemann and Nursery World Childcare Student of the Year Award 2008, with a host of prizes on offer for the winning candidates.
The award celebrates the achievements of students who have shown excellence in the care and education of young children. Judges will be looking for students who show the potential to be great childcare professionals and demonstrate outstanding performance on their courses. This year's winner will be announced at a judging ceremony in Oxford in July and presented with a certificate, a year's subscription to Nursery World and a cheque from Heinemann for £300.
