The primary review

Nursery World, 17 January 2008

The primary review, the two-year independent inquiry into England's primary schools led by Robin Alexander of Cambridge University, has published another four reports intended to stimulate debate on the fundamental questions behind the review.

The latest reports ask: what is primary education for, what aims should it pursue, and by what values should it be underpinned? They focus on the history of primary education in England, comparing our schools with international education systems, how social and economic trends impact, and 21st century primary education on a global scale.
