Child trafficking guidance issued
Nursery World,
13 December 2007
New guidance to help stop child trafficking has been issued to childcare professionals, community groups and faith groups by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and the Home Office at www.dcsf.gov.uk.and www.homeoffice.gov.uk. The Government is calling for agencies to raise awareness in their local communities of ways to identify a child or young person who may have been trafficked and places where they can get help. Anyone worried about the welfare of a child is encouraged to contact the police or NSPCC helplines.
