Anyone who nominates a teaching assistant for the national Teaching Awards will be entered in a prize draw for £5,000 worth of books from Oxford University Press. Five winners will each win £1,000 in book prizes for their nominated school. Caroline Evans, chief executive of the Teaching Awards, said, 'Teaching assistants' roles have changed radically in recent years and they play such a big part in the life of every school.'
