Children would rather do well at school than get on well with their family, according to a survey carried out by the BBC TV children's programme 'Newsround'. In its survey, 1,000 children aged six to 12 were asked a range of questions, including what was most important to them. 'Doing well at school' was listed as most important by 31 per cent, while 'getting on well with family' was rated most important by 28 per cent.
