Childcare professionals and parents need to be more aware of head injuries, which often go unnoticed, a children's charity has warned.
The Children's Trust has launched a campaign on Acquired Brain Injury following a government report which found that around 5,000 schoolchildren sustain brain damage every year. It can be caused by head injuries, choking or illness, and signs to look out for include memory and co-ordination problems.
