Child poverty: Poverty target 'still needs £4bn'

Children's charities have welcomed the creation of a new child poverty unit (News, 1 November), but said the Government must invest an additional £4bn annually to end child poverty by 2020.
Hilary Fisher, director of the Campaign to End Child Poverty, said, 'It is clear that we need a £4bn investment in tax credits and benefits. The creation of this new group should not prevent that from moving forward.'
