Chilcare shortages in Northern Ireland

Childcare shortages are preventing thousands of parents across Northern Ireland from working, the Northern Ireland Childminding Association has warned. NICMA is lobbying ministers to fund a special start-up package of grant aid and mentoring for new childminders. The package would aim to support childminders who find the official registration process daunting and those put off by the expense involved in starting a business.
