In my view: The impossibly perfect parents

My belief is that the 'parenting industry' is marketing a simplified and unrealistic view of parenting, which is based on the notion that to be a parent is a series of problems to be solved and techniques to be mastered.

But, if that really were the case, why do so many parents feel inadequate? Can being a parent really be only a combination of a few 'quick and easy' tips and techniques? Can parenting be that simple?
