Staff need training in jabs

A mother of twins has been accompanying her children to nursery because there are no staff trained to deal with their severe allergies.

Staff at Kid's Corner Pre-school in Sudbury, Derbyshire, need training from their local primary care trust (PCT) in administering adrenaline injections with an Epi-pen. Sheryll Ough has been attending the voluntary nursery since the beginning of term in case she needs to deliver a shot to her twin daughters, who could go into anaphylactic shock because of their allergy to nuts. The voluntary nursery only secured training from Derbyshire PCT after Ms Ough contacted a radio show...
