Affordable care is scarce for students

Student parents starting college this term are worried about how they are going to pay for childcare, the Daycare Trust said last week.

The charity is carrying out a review into the childcare concerns of parents on further education courses, funded by the Elizabeth Nuffield Foundation and due to be published in December. The Trust wants to find out how much funding is available for childcare for adult learners, after receiving calls from parents looking for help.
