Saturday children go free at well-located nursery

A children's centre nursery in Sheffield is one of the first in the country to offer the free early years entitlement for three- and four-year-olds on Saturdays.
Head of Sunflower Children's Centre Karen Simpkin decided to open the nursery on Saturdays to gain more business two months ago. The centre, which has 73 full-time places, is in close proximity to two shopping malls, a hospital and a major police station. 'We have a really good position for Saturday workers,' Ms Simpkin said.
