Nursery's equipment given to Africa

Plans for a pre-school in Lesotho in southern Africa have been given a boost by donations from a closed pre-prep school in Bedfordshire.

Headteacher Karen Clegg closed down Waverley School three years ago due to illness. Furniture, tools and toys from the school are now destined for the pre-school in Ha Simone, Lesotho, a small community affected by poverty and AIDS. One former Waverley School staff member has also pledged to fund meals for the pre-school children.
