- Supermarket Tesco banned a clown from using balloons during his five-hour act in a Leeds store, reported the Daily Telegraph. Barney Baloney was booked for a show at Tesco's Crossgates Centre but was not allowed to use balloons because of possible allergic reactions to the latex. The clown's bubble-making machine was also deemed an insurance liability. 'At this rate I will have no act left,' said Barney.
