I read with interest the letter from Sasha Edmunds in Devon about her decision not to deliver the free entitlement to early years education for children who are eligible (19 July). It is important to highlight an additional challenge facing many more childminders who, unlike Sarah, do not have the opportunity to offer the free entitlement even when they want to.
