PVI providers given a say on free places

Private nursery providers are to have a significant voice on a steering group being set up by Kent County Council to look at ways of creating a more equitable system of nursery education funding.

Dr Ian Craig, Kent County Council's operations director for children, families and education, told Nursery World that the group will aim to come up with 'an equitable funding formula that people see as fair, because they clearly see the present arrangements as not fair'.
