'Give 20 hours in free places'

More free early years places and longer parental leave are among the measures called for by the Daycare Trust in an agenda to mark its 21st anniversary this week.
'What parents want - a 21-point plan for better childcare' recommends extending free childcare places for all three- and four-year-olds to at least 20 hours a week for 48 weeks in the year, and extending parental leave to 24 months.
