Giant leap into school eased by sports fun

Forty children from Glasgow and their parents took part in a fun-packed two-day event to prepare them for the start of primary school in August.

Children and parents enjoyed sporting activities, painting, music and reading together in the Pre-5 Mini Wiz Academy. The event was organised by Whitehill New Learning Community, one of 29 such education initiatives in Glasgow, in partnership with the Innovative Routes to Learning team at the University of Strathclyde.
