Gender equality still generations away

Gender equality is still generations away, and only urgent action can close the gap within ten years, says the Equal Opportunities Commission. Completing the Revolution is the EOC's final report before it is absorbed into the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights on 1 October. The report says women spend 180 minutes per day on housework, while men spend only 101 minutes per day. However, parents' share of childcare is improving, with mothers recording an average of two hours 32 minutes per day looking after their own children, compared with two hours 16 minutes spent by fathers.The full report...
